North Carolina Surry County August term 1787.
Joseph Williams one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last Will and Testament of Thomas Whitticor, made oath that he saw the said Thomas Whitticor, sign publish and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament, that he was of sound disposing mind and memory; and at the same time he saw John Harvey and Mark Whitticor sign the same as witnesses; and ordered to be recorded. Recorded accordingly.

Notes: There was no day entered in the first paragraph-only a month and year. The number of shillings to be left to the daughters was nearly illegible. The signature of Mark Whitticor as a witness was probably Thomas Whitticor's brother because of the words "the older" which were written beside his signature.
