Mark Whitaker was born ca.1670 in Baltimore Co., Md and married Catherine Teague on 10 June 1705. His descendants (at least my direct line) migrated from Maryland to North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. |
WHITAKER has been spelled various ways including Whittaker, Witticor, Whiteacre, Whitteker and even Whitcher. Surnames allied with the Whitakers are Teague, Hale, Howard, Risner and Salyer.
My Watson family also is from Maryland (I think). David Wattson was born ca. 1706 and married to Sarah (unknown). David left a will in Frederick Co., Md in 1769. The Watson family also migrated to Indiana, but by way of Pennsylvania.
WATSON has also been spelled Wattson. Allied surnames include Henthorn, Jackson, Campbell, Amick, Taflinger and Mitchell.
