I tend to avoid the commercial sites unless they have something useful that one can get at for free. The official sites in Ireland tend to be fee-based, so I don't have many of them here. Apparently there's a big business going through the sanctioned regional archives and history centers. Good resources, if you have no time and have money. If you're doing the legwork yourself, though, there's bound to be other ways. The ShipsList Digest, alt.genealogy, soc.genealogy.ireland, and others are great places to get information. Good Luck!
