        An overview of the history of homeopathy from ancient times to the present. (There is a particular focus on US history and the world of homeopathy today.)

II.    PHILOSOPHY
        Posology (potency and remedy preparation)
        Concepts of health, disease and susceptibility
        Vital Force
        Laws of Healing; Kent's
        Homeopathic Philosophy
        Organon
        Theory of Miasms
        Kingdom and Family Ideas

        Research: contemporary research in
        homeopathy; theoretical basis of practice;
        proposed mechanisms of action of
        homeopathy.

III.    Materia  Medica
        Focus on the essence, developmental history, generalities, keynotes
and specific pathology of each remedy.
        250 of remedies covered.
        Remedy family focus.

IV.    REPERTORY
        General layout of repertory; careful analysis of each section and how best to apply rubrics to case work; using rubrics to study materia medica.

V.     CASE TAKING
        Developing interview technique; taking cases in class; critique and analysis of videos; critique of paper cases.

VI.    CASE ANALYSIS AND MANAGEMENT
        Strategies of case analysis; applying repertory to cases; paper cases are assigned each month; analysis of live cases in class or instructor's videos; how to follow up a case; how to interpret the action of a remedy;
selection of potency; acute episodes during chronic treatment; antidotes; prognosis; terminal cases; identifying the central disturbance.

VII.    ADDITIONAL TOPICS

        Next steps; moving into practice; ethics/confidentiality; provings; obstacles to cure.
