The Correct Aramaic Translation of the Gospel According to John
The following is a quotation from the gospel according to John:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made
through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.
In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines
in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
This passage says that in the beginning there was the Word. However,
in Aramaic "Word" can be interpreted as "dream". Here is the correct
Aramaic translation:
In the beginning was the dream, and the dream was God, and the dream
was with God. And divinity said let us dream together, and co-create
it. And the dream became the light, and the light transformed the
darkness. And all was one.
