artist blint engaged in
some showcase ambient performances in the southern california area.
the borders books and music show
on saturday, december 21 in el cajon, california, was a big success and despite
a very boisterous rainstorm, a good crowd of people passed through the cafe area
listening to blint perform live solo ambient guitar. blint performed
tracks from all phases of his career, but concentrated mostly on the two most
recent releases, "journey to the west" and "a dream of red
mansions".
the museum of contemporary art show
on january 2, 2003 was also a great success, and featured three continuous hours
of ambient looping and improvisation. this was a radically different set
from the december borders show, and a great crowd wandered around the gallery,
and in and out of the performance area, throughout the evening.
