saffron matted voids was formed in mid-1998, and their very first recordings, two very diverse ("furniture music" and "portrait of emiko with moon and stars") cover versions of songs by bill nelson, are now unfortunately out of print.    they are currently working on their first full-length CD of original material, due out in mid 2003.
