...if you are interested in ambient music, you might want to check out the pureambient.com family of artists: electronic ambient music group bindlestiff, which is composed of energy bow guitarist dave stafford (who creates ambient electronic musicscapes), and keyboard artist bryan helm (who specializes in ambient keyboard textures). also on the pureambient.com artist roster are early (non-ambient) precursors to bindlestiff, the acoustic guitar duo the dozey lumps and their power-trio configuration the infamous luxury yacht. synthesist/multi instrumentalist peter schaefer (who creates ambient wavescapes) from Germany, as well as tiktok (in the person of guitarist/looper travis hartnett) adds several excellent loop albums to the growing pureambient.com catalog, as well as his work with futura, antifade, triptych and electrochakra. cyberambient group saffron matted voids, featuring ken mistove and dave stafford, are currenly working on their debut CD, to be released in mid 2003. we are proud to also feature the work of looper and multi-instrumentalist blint, who has a brand new CD (his second for pureambient.com) now available (released august 17, 2002). iron chef ambient has just joined the pureambient.com family of artists, bringing his unique ambient / dance sound with him.

pureambient.com artist blint engaged in some showcase ambient performances in the southern california area.

the borders books and music show in el cajon, california, was a big success and despite a very boisterous rainstorm, a good crowd of people passed through the cafe area listening to blint perform live solo ambient guitar. blint performed tracks from all phases of his career, but concentrated mostly on the two most recent releases, "journey to the west" and "a dream of red mansions".

the museum of contemporary art show was also a great success, and featured three continuous hours of ambient looping and improvisation. this was a radically different set from the borders show, and a great crowd wandered around the gallery, and in and out of the performance area, throughout the evening.

the long awaited saffron matted voids CD is nearly complete ! watch for release details soon.

upcoming:

work continues on the upcoming debut CD release from cyberambient artists saffron matted voids, scheduled for release in late 2003. the album is currently about 85% complete, with several exciting new ambient and active tracks appearing.

blint's third CD, "all things being equal" is currently under construction. this will be a radical departure from his first two discs, featuring full band ambience. a six song mini-CD featuring some early mixes from the sessions is now available via our secure server.
